For a long as I can remember, my mother-in-law has been the designated lasagna cook for family gatherings. Even though all of her children are grown, she still enjoys making it for special dinners or simply just because. I think she just really loves to watch her children and her grandchildren enjoy her food, so she never minds making up this family favorite. And she also makes a killer sweet potato casserole at Thanksgiving! For years she’s been carrying her delicious dish in an open casserole pan with aluminum foil on top, sandwiched between a couple of potholders to keep it warm. Then we purchased her a fabulous Portable Pyrex Bakeware Set that has made traveling with her home-cooked meals so much easier. (more…)
