Sunday dinners were always special around our house when we were growing up. The smell of tomato sauce simmering on the stove filled our home from morning until early evening. We’d keep ourselves busy by playing board games, watching some television or just hanging around the kitchen hoping for a piece of fresh bread with some homemade tomato sauce. When I heard the sound and smelled the scent of fresh Parmesan cheese being grated I knew dinner was about to be served! Mom always said it’s not a real Italian meal unless the cheese is freshly grated. So when I was setting up my own kitchen, I knew one kitchen gadget I would definitely need would be a kitchen cheese grater just like the one mom used. (more…)
